It‘s shaping up to be a big year for Megadeth. Just after releasing their new album, Dystopia, in January, they’ll be embarking on a massive world tour commencing February 20th in Dallas, Texas. The North American leg will see the thrash metal band traveling to 14 states and throughout Canada. They’ll be following up those dates with European shows which are still to be announced.
These will be Megadeth’s first live appearances since recruiting Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler and Angra guitarist Kiko Loureiro to replace Shawn Drover and Chris Broderick. Along for the ride are Suicidal Tendences, Havok and Children of the Bodom, who previously appeared with Megadeth on their North American tour in 2008.
Megadeth’s 15th studio record is out January 22nd, an 11-track tour de force showcasing frontman Dave Mustaine’s trademark leads and lightning riffs. (See earlier item for more details.) For tickets to the Dystopia tour visit Ticketmaster. For more details, check out the band’s website.
