The Laid Back Festival’s 2016 season begins Saturday, May 7th at Atlanta, GA’s Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood and then makes stops at Nashville, TN’s Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel (Saturday, June 25th), Chicago. IL’s FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island (Saturday, July 16th), Wantagh, NY’s Nikon at Jones Beach Theater (Saturday, July 23rd), and Morrison, CO’s world famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre (Sunday, September 25th).

Named after Allman’s classic 1973 solo debut, the inaugural Laid Back Festival was held last summer at Wantagh, NY’s Nikon at Jones Beach Theater. Here’s the 2015 encore with Allman joined by the Doobie Brothers’ Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons…
The 2016 Laid Back Festival will once again feature an eclectic range of artists performing on two distinctive stages, the main “Laid Back” stage and more intimate “Low Country” stage. The latter – which takes its name from Allman’s 2011 solo album, Low Country Blues – will serve as a special showcase for rising local artists and musicians from every region on the festival tour’s itinerary. Much more than just a concert, the Laid Back Festival will also celebrate America’s diverse and delicious food and drink, with more than 20 regional restaurants, food trucks, breweries, wineries, and other artisans represented at each festival stop.
Allman has also slated a wide range of dates throughout the summer with ZZ Top and Frampton, as well as top billed appearances at a number of major music festivals. Tickets are available here.
