George Harrison’s musician son Dhani Harrison may take on the task of completing some of his father’s unfinished work, according to George’s widow, Olivia. A report published in Billboard and other publications states that Olivia has said that she and their 37-year-old son have discussed the possibility of working on the tracks.
“There are a lot of songs that are unfinished,” the 68-year-old Olivia Harrison told Billboard. “I think there’s a project there. I just need time to get to it.” She made the statement while attending the tenth anniversary of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas, which was also attended by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono.

Harrison did not name any of the unfinished tracks but said there are “around 10 songs” that she hopes to release as an album comprising previously unreleased work.
Olivia (nee Olivia Trinidad Arias) met George Harrison in 1974 while working as a secretary for A&M Records. Dhani was born in England in August 1978 and his parents were married the following month. Dhani came relatively late to music, putting off a career in music until after he graduated from Brown University in Providence, RI. He participated in the Concert for George a year after his father’s 2001 death and also performed during his father’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has since released a handful of recordings of his own music while participating in other events related to his father and the Beatles.

Olivia, meanwhile, has worked diligently to keep George’s music in the public eye. She produced the aforementioned Concert for George, promoted the video game The Beatles: Rock Band, and in 2011 co-produced the film George Harrison: Living in the Material World with Martin Scorsese, also co-authoring the accompanying book.
