Bluesman Gary Clark Jr. has announced additional dates to his current tour. Billed as “A Very Special Evening with Gary Clark Jr.,” the December shows feature the singer, songwriter and guitarist performing in a solo setting at the Paramount Theater in Austin, and at Carnegie Hall in New York City. See below for dates.
Clark’s original new song, “Take Me Down,” will be featured in the upcoming film Deepwater Horizon, as well as on the movie’s original soundtrack, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on September 23. “Take Me Down” was released as a digital single today (September 9).

Clark will perform the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 6.

A new version of the track “Church,” from Clark’s current album, The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, appears in the film Citizen Soldier, directed by David Salzberg and Christian Tureaud.
