It’s a must-have item for any den or neighborhood tavern. Stern Pinball announced on May 18 it is bringing back its popular AC/DC Pro and Premium pinball machines. Originally debuting in 2012, the updated AC/DC pinball machine honors one of the world’s most legendary rock bands.
The game features 12 AC/DC classic rock hits including “Back in Black,” “Highway to Hell” and “You Shook Me All Night Long.” Other features include two separate ramps, a lower play field, a ball-shooting cannon, eight drop targets, a mechanized Hell’s Bell and animations of the band. Players can also join the party with a TNT detonator and the Devil’s Jukebox. Seriously, what can’t this machine do?
From the official announcement: “This tribute to one of rock and roll’s most memorable bands pushes the auditory limits with its sound, style and infectious riffs. The AC/DC machine is designed to rock. The AC/DC Pro features technological upgrades featuring all LED lighting and a swinging bell.”
Stern is the world’s oldest and largest producer of arcade-quality pinball machines. Recent titles include Aerosmith, Metallica, Batman ’66, Ghostbusters, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Star Trek, The Avengers, X-Men, Tron, Transformers, Batman, Spider-man, and more.

“The demand for the AC/DC machine was fantastic,” says Gary Stern, Stern Pinball’s founder and CEO. “Fans were clamoring to order the machine after we sold out.”
It’ll cost you, though. List price for the Pro Version is $6,099. The Premium Version will set you back $7,699. But, hey, you’re worth it, and you’ll be the envy of all your friends.
Things have been quiet for AC/DC. Other than a post on their Facebook page acknowledging the death of Chuck Berry in March, they haven’t posted anything there since December.
