Ann Wilson of Heart has canceled her 2020 solo tour. The April 21 announcement noted “safety” for all, as the reason. On Feb. 18 she had revealed spring U.S. dates, which were scheduled to begin April 30. (A few weeks after announcing the U.S. shows, she added a brief U.K. run in the summer.) All of the dates are now canceled.
In 2019, she and her sister, Nancy, reunited Heart on stage for the first time since 2016. Their “Love Alive” tour began July 9, 2019, and continued throughout the summer.
In the April 21 post on her Facebook page, Wilson wrote, “Given the current circumstances and the fact that we can’t predict when it’ll be safe to gather again, we’re canceling the tour for the safety of all. Please contact your point of purchase for information on refunds.
“I’m very grateful to my fans, the promoters, and the venues for supporting me and I can’t wait to see you again. Stay safe!”
Ann Wilson‘s “spring thing,” as she was calling it, was to begin Apr. 30 and continue in the U.S. through May 21, with one additional date listed for the summer. (See the dates below.) Fans were expecting to hear her perform many Heart hits as well as her covers of classic rock favorites.
