Author: Bill Holdship

Bill Holdship is a former editor of CREEM, BAM, HITS, and Daily Variety, among numerous others, and a longtime contributor to such publications as the early SPIN, Musician, MOJO, US, the LA Times and damn near every "alternative" newspaper and magazine Los Angeles ever produced. In 2007, he was named the music editor of an "alternative" Detroit newspaper in his native Michigan after 21 years on the West Coast. Despite some fine work there, including exclusives with Eminem and Iggy, he kinda wishes he'd have stayed in California. But hindsight is 20/20. He retired not long after leaving the Detroit gig but figures this isn't a bad time in history to be retired, just dipping a hand in every now and then.. And the music he knew and loved is still always out there and will always be around.
