Ray D'Ariano
Ray D’Ariano served as Vice President of MCA Records in New York, and before that, VP of Promotion for the company in Los Angeles. He opened Casablanca Records’ New York office and served as General Manager. He began his music business career in the creative department of Buddah Records and while working there recorded a comedy album, Are You On Something?, for its Kama Sutra label. He’s worked with and contributed to the success of The Who, Elton John, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Leon Russell, Genesis, Kiss, and many more including Monty Python’s Flying Circus. In syndicated radio, he wrote “A Day in The Life of the Beatles,” and interviewed artists as diverse as Grace Slick, Ozzy Osbourne, and Brian Wilson for Retrorock. As on-air talent he appeared on New York’s WKTU, WNBC, and WNEW-FM’s live broadcasts from the Bottom Line, “Finally Friday.” He’s currently a writer, and in management / talent consulting via Lone Duck Entertainment.
