Bob Dylan has announced many more 2024 dates of his “Rough and Rowdy Ways” worldwide tour 2021-2024, named for his acclaimed 2020 studio album. The U.S. tour, which began on March 1, was first revealed on Jan. 24 with additional shows announced on Jan. 30 and again on Feb. 6. Then on Feb. 27, a whopping 25 dates were added, with Dylan among the headliners of the Outlaw Music Festival tour. The 2024 shows follow his fall tour that ended on Dec. 3, 2023, with what has typically been a 17-18- song set. (Dylan upstaged the 2023 Farm Aid with a surprise three-song set on Sept. 23.) Tickets for the concerts are available here and here.
Dylan, who turns 83 years old on May 24, 2024, began the “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour on Nov. 2, 2021, with concerts in the U.S., representing the Bard’s first live performances in nearly two years. (Dylan’s last live concert before that was Dec. 8, 2019, in Washington, D.C., following a 10-show residency at the Beacon, part of a lengthy fall 2019 U.S. tour.)
The “Rough and Rowdy Ways” debut concert took place in Milwaukee, Wisc., with an 18-song set that leaned heavily on Dylan’s most recent studio album, performing eight of the LP’s 10 tracks.
Watch him perform “I Contain Multitudes” on the tour’s second night, Nov. 3, 2021, in Chicago
