On June 1, the classic rock icon announced he and his Silver Bullet Band will embark on a North American Runaway Train Tour starting August 24 with two dozen dates currently scheduled through October 28. Nancy Wilson of Heart will be opening with her current band, Roadcase Royale, on select dates.

As Best Classic Bands reported on May 30, Seger’s Greatest Hits album has just passed the 10 million sales mark. In celebration of the achievement, Capitol Records released Bob Seger’s Greatest Hits as a 2LP, double album, in 150gram and 180gram black vinyl on June 2. For a limited time, a 150gram purple vinyl version is available exclusively on BobSeger.com. Seger’s first album on Capitol Records, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man, was also re-released in 150gram black and for the first time in 150gram blue vinyl.
