The promoters of Desert Trip, the upcoming three-day gathering of major classic rock artists—the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who—are releasing new tickets for the event, which takes place in Indio, California, on October 7-9 and October 14-16.
Goldenvoice, the event organizers, announced this week that space for more fans is being made available. They explained that the final design for the stage and seating configuration opened up more room for concert-goers.
Additional tickets will be sold first to residents of the Coachella Valley, at 8 a.m. this Saturday at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and online at Desert Trip.com. Additional tickets will then go on sale to non-residents at 1 p.m. Saturday also at their website. There will be no one-day passes available for sale, but three-day passes for all seating options, from general admission to grandstand to pit, will be available at their original list prices, ranging from $399 ($435 including fees) to $1,599 plus fees. Local residents will need to show proof of residency. Passes are non-transferable.
One-day tickets and weekend passes are available via our ticket re-sale partner, Ticket Network, here.

Goldenvoice did not state how many new tickets would be sold. Nor have the organizers given any indication where the concerts would be streamed or offered as pay-per-view events, or whether live CD or DVD/Blu-ray packages would be made available at a later date.
