UMe has announced the forthcoming release of Humble Pie’s The A&M Vinyl Box Set 1970-1975, collecting the band’s key A&M Records-era albums for the first time. The limited-edition nine-LP set is available on June 2. Pre order here.
Formed in 1969, Humble Pie featured lead vocalist and guitarist Steve Marriott from Small Faces, vocalist and guitarist Peter Frampton from the Herd, former Spooky Tooth bassist Greg Ridley and a 17-year-old drummer Jerry Shirley. The boxed set, compiled in conjunction with Shirley and Frampton, pulls together all of the albums the band recorded for A&M. They have been re-mastered by Kevin Reeves and appear on 180gm vinyl with replica artwork from the time.
