Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is said to be “stable and resting” after he apparently collapsed just off stage Sunday night (July 10) while performing with his other band, The Hollywood Vampires, at the Ford Amphitheater on the Coney Island boardwalk in Brooklyn, NY.
Today (July 11), the band postponed their regularly scheduled appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (replaced by Blink 182) in what would have been their late night television debut.
Spokeswoman Sujata Murthy, from the band’s label Universal Music Enterprises, said in a statement: “Joe Perry is stable and resting. His brother Vampires and fans wish him a speedy recovery.”
The band’s next performance, scheduled for Tuesday night, July 12, will proceed according to band member Alice Cooper, who wrote on various social media accounts: “Vampires! Confirmed – We WILL see you in Ohio tomorrow night & for the rest of our dates! Thanks for supporting Joe!”
