If you are a fan of Led Zeppelin, you’ll want to save the date: Michael Dorf Presents the Music of Led Zeppelin is scheduled to take place at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall in New York on March 7, 2018. The first batch of 21 performers for the upcoming tribute, the 14th in an annual series, were announced on Dec. 6 and included the Zombies, Living Colour, and Richie Sambora & Orianthi.
Additions were named on Feb. 7 and the lineup now also features O.A.R., Bettye LaVette, Brian White of Tesla, London Souls, J Mascis and Erika Wennerstrom and Patty Smyth (of Scandal fame).
Dorf, a founder of the Knitting Factory and City Winery, has presented similar tributes at the legendary venue for the past several years, including shows honoring David Bowie, Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, The Who, Elton John, Neil Young, the Rolling Stones, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan. 2016’s Bowie tribute featured performances from the Flaming Lips, Michael Stipe, Pixies, Debbie Harry, Cat Power, Laurie Anderson and Mumford & Sons, among others, while the 2017 Aretha Franklin event included Melissa Etheridge, Heart’s Ann Wilson, Todd Rundgren and Kenny Loggins, plus many other performers.
Tickets, priced as low as $48, are available here. There are also VIP tickets at $325 for the best seats plus admission to the afterparty. 1000 bucks includes the rehearsal show and pre-show dinner. $3000 gets you full access to the soundcheck. All previous shows have sold out.

So, does that mean that we can expect to see a reunion of Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones? 2018 does mark Led Zeppelin’s 50th anniversary after all.
It’s hard to say. At some of the Carnegie events, the artist being honored has wowed the audience, while at others there was no such luck. Plant, in particular, has been dead set against any sort of Zep reunion, but the events have generally been planned with the approval of the artists being feted.
Beneficiaries from ticket sales will include several organizations that support music education.
