BluesFest has been assembling strong lineups for years. In 2015, artists included the Dave Matthews Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and a double bill of Tom Jones and Van Morrison, among others. 2014 had Elvis Costello and Sheryl Crow. 2013’s event featured Robert Plant, Ronnie Wood, Mavis Staples… you get the picture.
Here’s a clip of Tedeschi Trucks Band (and friends) performing a tribute to Joe Cocker at the 2015 event…

Best Classic Bands reported in March that Wyman – who officially turns 80 on October 24 – had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, noting the former Rolling Stones bassist “is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.” He attended the opening of the Stones’ Exhibitionism in London in April and it’s extremely encouraging that he’s committed to performing at BluesFest in late October.
