Season Two of AXS TV’s original music series Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar Presented By Mercury Insurance has followed the Red Rocker as he traveled to notable music cities throughout the U.S. to interview and jam with some of his classic rock friends including John Mayer, John Mellencamp, James Hetfield of Metallica, Billy Gibbons, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Joe Satriani and Melissa Etheridge.
On the final stop of Part One of Season Two, Sammy heads to beautiful Maui to hang out with Mick Fleetwood, who has lived on the island for 17 years. The Maui neighbors catch up on music and art then jump on stage at Fleetwood’s on Front Street to perform a Fleetwood Mac classic.
In this exclusive clip from the episode, Hagar asks him: “How in the hell did you end up in Maui?” Fleetwood explains: “I came here right after the first album we made with Stevie and Lindsey… and fell in love with the island and swore that one day I’m gonna live here.” As for his schedule: “I’m busier now than when I was 18 years old.

After a fairly dormant period for Fleetwood Mac, the group will reunite briefly this summer with two big summer concerts. The Classic West at Dodger Stadium comes first with the Eagles headlining Saturday, July 15, with support by Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers. On Sunday, July 16, Fleetwood Mac headlines, with Journey and Earth, Wind & Fire opening.
Two weeks’ later, the same bill arrives at Citi Field on July 29-30. Tickets for both events are on sale now for American Express cardholders. Tickets for everyone else will be available this Friday, April 7, for Classic East here and for the Classic West… here.
Fleetwood told The New York Times that he had been in attendance last October at Desert Trip. “I was there like a stalker fan,” Fleetwood said. “And it was so cool! It was emotionally charged.”
