The eagerly awaited James Bond film, No Time To Die, has finally opened. The film, the latest installment in the long-running series, was pushed back numerous times due to the ongoing pandemic. No Time To Die had its world premiere at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Sept. 28, 2021, followed by its U.K. opening on Sept. 30. It reached U.S. theaters on Oct. 8.
The film opened to big numbers with U.S. numbers topping $56 million for its first weekend and a worldwide cume of $313 million through Oct. 10. However, its numbers dropped to $22.3 million on its second weekend (behind Halloween Kills, which opened at $50.3) for a total U.S. take of $99.5 million. It was up to $447.8 million worldwide through Oct. 17. It has received a very respectable 84% favorable rating at aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig in his fifth (and final) performance as the British secret agent. If you can follow this, you must be a world-class decoder: The film was originally scheduled to have its world premiere in London on March 31, 2020, followed by an international roll out. (Its North American premiere was originally scheduled for April 10 of that year.)
However, in early March 2020, it was delayed until November 12, 2020, in the U.K. and November 20, 2020, in the U.S. amid fears of the Covid-19 pandemic. On Oct. 2, 2020, the producers announced it was moving to April 2, 2021.
On Jan. 21, 2021, MGM announced its U.S. opening for Oct. 8. You’re not seeing double. It’s the film’s fourth release date.

Craig hosted Saturday Night Live on March 7, 2020, in what was expected to be a highly visible lead-in to the film’s opening. He spoofed the new film in a sketch that evening.
Rami Malek, who earned an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in the 2018 Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, stars as the villain, Safin.
The No Time To Die cast also includes Ralph Fiennes returning as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the head of the criminal enterprise, Spectre. Ana de Armas, who earned rave notices for her role in the feature film whodunit, Knives Out, portrays Paloma. The film is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, perhaps best known for directing all episodes of season one of TV’s True Detective.
In No Time To Die, Bond – check out that URL – has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter (again played by Jeffrey Wright), from the CIA, turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die‘s production cost has been estimated at $250 million. Believe it or not, it’s the first 007 film since 2015’s Spectre. That title earned a reported $880 million at the worldwide box-office.

It looks that ‘No time to die’ will be full of action. I liked they way it was filmed. I hope that the whole film will be that picturesque as trailer.
