In was Black Sabbath’s turn from 2016-2017 with their “The End” tour.
Today (Nov. 6), Ozzy Osbourne announced his own farewell world tour, currently scheduled to begin in April and expected to continue into 2020. But fans will be relieved that these won’t necessarily be his last appearances on stage. “This will be my final world tour,” he said in the announcement, “but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy® winning singer and songwriter will celebrate more than five decades as a performer (both as a solo artist and as lead singer of Black Sabbath). The tour will take Osbourne around the world and mark the end of global touring for the classic rock legend, though he will continue to perform select live shows.
The tour will kick off in 2018 with April 27 performance at the Rockville Festival in Jacksonville, FL before heading to Mexico and then South America for shows in three countries. Next up, a six-week European leg of headlining dates and festival performances that’s set to launch June 1 in Moscow, Russia. Osbourne will subsequently headline a North American tour produced by Live Nation, details of which will be revealed in 2018.
For these dates, Osbourne will be joined by longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (Guitar), Blasko (Bass), Tommy Clufetos (Drums) and Adam Wakeman (Keyboards).

Grew up loving Sabbath and then Ozzy solo. He’s had alot of great gtr player’s in his band..most notably and without any peers was Randy Rhoads. It’s such a shame how little footage is out there of Randy playing with Oz. Personally, I think Zakk Wylde is one of the worst gtr players who’s played with Ozzy. I’ve never been more bored seeing a gtr player than when he came out and did his schtick on the Experience Hendrix tour. Holy crap he’s just gimmicks after gimmicks. Every solo sounds exactly the same and he acts like a metal clown. He couldn’t touch Randy’s talent with a 100 ft pole. Hearing Zakk the one time he played with the Allman brothers is all you need to hear just how awful he is in both sound and playability. It’s the same scales over and over as fast as he can play without any soul whatsoever. Imho
Not a big Ozzy fan. However, anyone who can last five decades in the music business, both with a band, and solo, deserves respect. That being said, one does have to wonder how many of those fifty years he actually remembers.
