Paul McCartney had a very busy 2017 schedule when his One on One tour visited Japan, North America, South America and Australia-New Zealand, and it was looking like he would be taking a well-deserved rest from the rigors of the road. So when the news arrived today (May 1) that McCartney would be headlining the 2018 Austin City Limits Music Festival it was a welcome surprise. His October appearance is the only date on his concert schedule so far.
The 17th annual edition of the schedule also includes fellow headliners Metallica, Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys, Travis Scott and Odesza. Other acts on the bill include David Byrne, Hozier, Asleep at the Wheel, the Revolution and Brandi Carlile. In all, 125 artists will perform across eight stages at Zilker Park during the festivals two weekends: Oc 5-7 and Oct. 12-14. To see the complete schedule, visit here.
3-Day General Admission tickets for both weekends are on sale now. 1-Day General Admission tickets will be available later in the year.

McCartney’s 2017 tour was the 7th-highest grossing tour for the year behind only U2, Guns N’ Roses, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Metallica and Depeche Mode. His sets tended to be 40 songs of Beatles, Wings and solo favorites. He turns 76 on June 18.
