Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited on stage on July 13, 2019, for the final date of that year’s edition of McCartney’s Freshen Up tour, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The pair of Beatles came together for two songs during the evening’s encore, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band (Reprise)” and “Helter Skelter.” Watch the performances below.
[And, for the evening’s finale, another classic rock legend joined in the fun.]
“It’s a surprise for us. It’s a surprise for you. It’s a surprise for everyone,” said McCartney. “Ladies and Gentlemen… the one and only… Ringo Starr!” The crowd erupted.
“Peace and Love, everybody,” shouted Starr, who turned 79 a few days earlier, on July 7. “I love you, man,” said McCartney, as Ringo got behind the drum kit.

As the encores continued, McCartney began playing several of the songs from side two of Abbey Road. As they performed “Golden Slumbers” and “Carry That Weight,” none other than Ringo’s brother-in-law, Joe Walsh, joined in the fun.
Eagles had completed a tour of Europe just days’ earlier, on July 8. They have announced their final tour, “The Long Goodbye.” Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and StubHub.
