To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Poison‘s debut album, Look What The Cat Dragged In, UMe has created an exclusive picture disc featuring the classic album cover pressed on white vinyl. The edition is limited to 1000 copies worldwide and packaged in a heavy weight clear plastic sleeve, available exclusively available now here through uDiscover US.
Comprised of founding members Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall and C.C. DeVille, Poison achieved career sales of over 50 million worldwide. Released on May 23, 1986, Look What The Cat Dragged In, as the announcement notes: “introduced the world to the band’s Sunset Strip sound and became a surprise success.”
The album went on to yield three charting hits: the Top 10 smash “Talk Dirty To Me,” I Want Action,” and “I Won’t Forget You” (which reached #13). Look What The Cat Dragged In peaked at #3 on the Billboard album sales chart, went gold in a year and ultimately sold over three million copies in the U.S. alone. To date it has sold more than four million copies worldwide.

Call them a glam metal band, a hair band, whatever… Poison achieved some serious sales. And Look What The Cat Dragged In paved the way for their huge follow-up, 1988’s Open Up and Say… Ahh!, which within three years of its release had sold more than five million copies in the U.S., their high water mark. The latter had three bonafide hits including the band’s #1 pop smash “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn.”

Late 80s in Hollyweird was such a strange time, haha. Not the greatest musicians in the world but they did have style and chemistry, plus some good, underrated songs like Cry Tough and Look What the Cat Dragged in. And of course Talk Dirty to Me is a hair metal classic.
