Ringo Starr kicked off the 2017 edition of his All Starr Band with the first two (of eight) performances at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, on Oct. 13-14. The current lineup of All Starrs first came together in 2012 and are the longest-running of the band’s numerous lineups: Todd Rundgren, Santana and Journey keyboardist Gregg Rolie, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Mr. Mister frontman and bassist Richard Page, saxophonist Warren Ham and drummer Gregg Bissonette.
Ringo offered a combination of songs that he sang lead for The Beatles (“With a Little Help From My Friends” and “Yellow Submarine,” among them) as well as many solo hits (including “It Don’t Come Easy” and “Photograph”). One of the features of his concert tours is having his band members lead the others in renditions of some of their own well known classic rock hits. (See the complete 21-song setlist below.)
Ringo recently released a new album, Give More Love, with a little help from his friends Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Timothy B. Schmit, Lukather, Page and others.
