Attention Rod Stewart fans – the Mod’s back for one of his biggest UK tours yet, performing for over 180,000 people across eight outdoor venues, from Plymouth to Inverness. He’s calling it “The Hits” (like his Las Vegas shows) and he sure has enough of them to pack a show.
News of the tour comes on the heels of a one-off 40th anniversary concert with Faces bandmates Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones in Ewhurst, Surrey, last month, in support of Prostate Cancer U.K. It was Stewart’s first appearance with the band since a gig at the 1993 Brit Awards. And the release of Stewart’s latest album, Another Country, which finds him continuing to write songs again as he did on 2013’s Time. (Check out our review here.)
In case you’re wondering if this flurry of activity means an end to Stewart’s Las Vegas residency – think again. A fifth year of “Rod Stewart: The Hits” will return to Caesar’s Palace. Of course fans are likely wondering if he’ll fit in a U.S. tour as well as if there might be some more Faces shows next year. Click here for tickets.
