Rod Stewart and Cheap Trick have added 19 dates to their 2022 North American tour together this summer, with 38 shows now spanning from mid-June into mid-September.
The classic rock double bill was originally scheduled for summer 2020 and then pushed back to 2021. Tickets for the new dates, announced on Feb. 16, go on sale Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. local time here. (Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. – Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. local time. The previously announced dates are already available for purchase.) See the complete schedule below.
Stewart‘s most recent studio album, Tears of Hercules, was released in November 2021. His previous title, You’re in My Heart: Rod Stewart With the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, arrived in Nov. 2019, and was a significant seller, reaching #1 on the U.K. sales chart. It includes new orchestral versions of such classic rock hits as “Maggie May,” “Stay With Me,” “Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright),” and “The First Cut is the Deepest.”

Since the ’70s, Cheap Trick–Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar) and Tom Petersson (bass guitar)–have combined their unique union of massive melodies and riffs, to offer a special brand of mischievous pop wit and rock and roll. With timeless classics such as “I Want You to Want Me” and “Surrender,” the band, now with drummer Daxx Nielsen, continue to tour relentlessly. In 2016 they earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
