After months of speculation, the Rolling Stones announced on Feb. 26 they are bringing the NoFilter tour to the U.K. and Ireland this summer, with some additional European shows.
14 dates, spanning six weeks, have been revealed so far. Other than individual dates, it’s the Stones’ first U.K. tour since 2006.
On Feb. 27, Jagger was asked–on BBC Radio 2’s “Chris Evans Breakfast Show–what surprises fans can expect. “It’s fun for us to play songs that we never, ever play. We spend a lot of time rehearsing and we always find songs that we have very rarely done or never done.”

These concerts follow 2017’s #NoFilter tour that encompassed 14 shows over a generous 42 days, giving the band a minimum of three days in between dates. Those 14 stadium dates were big enough to rank #10 for the year in terms of concert revenues.

North American fans are still waiting. The last Stones dates in America were in October 2016 when they played a handful of concerts in conjunction with their Desert Trip shows in Indio, CA. In the meantime, their massive, traveling museum installation, Exhibitionism, moved to Nashville on March 29 where it’ll stay until June 30.
Best Classic Bands attended the first of two Stones concerts at Desert Trip and noted: “The Stones may not be the baddest band in the land anymore… but they still know how to put on a spectacle.”
