On weekend two of the Desert Trip festival, produced by the Coachella organizers in Indio, CA, the Rolling Stones‘ Friday night (October 14) set started with four familiar tracks. The concert started with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” (rather than their traditional opener “Start Me Up”), followed by “Get Off of My Cloud,” “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll” and “Tumbling Dice.”
The “World’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band” then offered the live debut of the blues cover (from Buddy Johnson), “Just Your Fool,” the song they’ve been teasing online from their upcoming Blue & Lonesome album.

Mick Jagger introduced the song: “We thought we discovered the blues. But we hadn’t obviously. It was the music that brought us all together. We got together in the studio recently and made a blues album.” He then called out to a stage hand: “I’ll need a harmonica for this one. And, uh, we’re gonna do a song from that album. This one’s called ‘Just Your Fool.'”

The band altered weekend two’s set a bit also adding such classic rock favorites as “Sweet Virginia,” “Angie” and “Paint It Black.” War horses like “Sympathy For the Devil,” “Brown Sugar” and “Honky Tonk Women” were back. (Complete setlist is below.)
