The original Santana line-up has been back at it, rocking the stage with their “evil ways” once again. And now you can catch all the action from the comfort of your couch this Sunday, June 19th, at 8 PM Eastern and 5 PM Pacific Time in the network premiere of the 2016 concert film Santana IV on AXS TV.
Now viewers can once again experience the signature sounds that defined an era and inspired generations of fans and artists as this beloved band blazes through a high-energy set that includes trademark favorites such as “Black Magic Woman,” “Oye Como Va,” “Evil Ways,” and “Soul Sacrifice.” Filmed live at the world-famous House of Blues in Las Vegas, Santana IV captures a true landmark event with the same lineup that exploded onto the scene at Woodstock: Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums) performing together for television for the first time since 1973. Joining the core Santana IV band in the studio are current Santana members Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass) with the legendary vocalist Ronald Isley of The Isley Brothers guesting on two songs.
People tuning in will also be able to hear brand new tracks from their latest hit album, Santana IV, which was released on April 15. It picks up where they left off with 16 brand new tracks written and produced by the band. The group showcases songs with explosive guitar work, incredible percussion and signature Afro-Latin rhythms that easily stands side-by-side with the group’s treasured early work.

When asked about the Santana IV team, Carlos Santana said: “It was magical, we didn’t have to try to force the vibe, it was immense. From there, we then needed to come up with a balance of songs and jams that people would immediately identify as Santana.”
The band Santana has earned eight Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards, the latter all in 2000. Carlos also won Grammy Awards as a solo artist in 1989 and 2003. Santana has sold more than 90 million records worldwide, making them one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time.
This unforgettable event will air as part of AXS TV’s The ‘Whole Lotta Love’ Father’s Day Marathon, which celebrates eight of the biggest bands of the 1970s with a roster of documentaries, exclusive interviews, and concert films. The event kicks off with folk rock supergroup Crosby, Stills & Nash on The Big Interview with Dan Rather at 10 AM Eastern. Then the in-depth documentary series Rock Legends will highlight Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac at 11 AM; followed by Bachman & Turner at 12 PM; Jeff Beck Live in Tokyo at 1 PM; Yes: 35th Anniversary Concert at 2:45 PM; Fleetwood Mac: Live in Boston at 4:45 PM; and Led Zeppelin: Celebration Day 5:45 PM, all leading up to the premiere of Santana IV at 8 PM.

What happened to Chepito Arias?
I’ve been wondering the same thing.
It would be really nice if you could also show this in the UK as there are many fans of Santana here.
yEA WE WANT CHEPITO. Timbles.
This will be a great Father’s Day gift! I don’t always understand Santana’s unique philosophy, but I always relate to the sound of his playing and the excellent musicians he surrounds himself with. The man is a humble genius, one of the best guitarists on the planet and a consummate musical arranger and collaborator. Happy Father’s Day, guys!
