Steve Winwood is rapidly adding dates to his 2017 tour schedule. The classic rock veteran of such bands as Spencer Davis Group, Blind Faith, Traffic and his own extensive solo career kicks off a spring U.S. tour on Thursday, April 20 in Westbury, NY, that continues through May 10 in Nashville, TN. The spring dates concentrate on the east coast and southeast.
On March 6, he added two July U.K. dates and then several European dates.
And although there’s been no formal mention–yet–of a real tour this fall on his website or social media accounts, a bit of sleuthing has found a slew of additional September dates. (See below.)
Tickets for many of Winwood‘s U.S. shows are available here and via our re-sale partner, Ticket Network.
Winwood’s 2016 tour calendar was limited to roughly 25 shows, most of which were as the opening act for Steely Dan over the summer. His set usually spans his career from his huge 1966 breakthrough hit “Gimme Some Lovin'” as a teenager with the Spencer Davis Group, through Blind Faith’s “Can’t Find My Way Home,” Traffic classics like “Dear Mr. Fantasy” and “Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys” and solo numbers like the #1 chart hit “Higher Love.”
