Aerosmith has only one scheduled concert on their calendar, on May 5 at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. But that doesn’t mean the band members are staying home. Just days ago, Joe Perry announced a string of dates with his own band and now his Aerosmith partner Steven Tyler has announced a new solo tour.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will launch a 13-date tour June 12 in Lewiston, N.Y., supporting his 2016 solo album, the county-flavored We’re All Somebody From Somewhere. The Nashville band Loving Mary, led by Aerosmith collaborator Marti Frederiksen, will serve as Tyler’s backup band. Tyler’s album topped the country charts and made the Top 20 of the Billboard album chart.
On March 24, two days before his 70th birthday, Tyler appeared at the Concert to Save Our Lives in Maui, along with Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson and others at Mick Fleetwood’s place.
