The album was released a month ahead of the group’s headlining the One Love Peace Concert at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
Unlike many other so-called doo-wop groups of the era, the Jive Five managed to continue placing singles on the chart into the British Invasion era.
“It does my heart good to present my songs this way. I hope that listeners will enjoy hearing the demos of my songs,” says Nash about the new collection.
The set includes outtakes and alternate recordings of the much-loved studio debut (which gave us “The Weight”), with a 5.1 surround mix
The album features performances recorded at Earl’s Court in London on June 30 and July 1, 1978, during Bowie’s “Isolar II” Tour.
