The first studio album in four years featuring all-new material from Van Morrison arrives at summer’s end when Keep Me Singing is released September 30 via Caroline Records. Though he released a duets album last year, teaming with such classic rock favorites as Steve Winwood and Mark Knopfler, you’d have to go back to 2012’s Born To Sing: No Plan B for his most recent solo effort. The lead single, “Too Late,” will coincide with the album release.
Keep Me Singing is Sir Van’s 36th studio album and includes 12 Morrison originals plus a cover of the blues standard “Share Your Love With Me,” a three-time pop hit for Bobby “Blue” Bland (#42), Aretha Franklin (#13) and Kenny Rogers (#14). For the track “Every Time I See A River,” Morrison collaborated with acclaimed lyricist Don Black. The album’s closing track, “Caledonia Swing,” is an instrumental featuring Morrison on piano and saxophone. All tracks were produced by Van Morrison.
