After The Who perform the last date of the final rescheduled leg of their Hits50! farewell tour in Las Vegas on May 29th, they return to the Los Angeles area to play a special show with Eddie Vedder and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. The intimate, limited-admission event will be held at a private home in Pacific Palisades on May 31st. The invite promises an “incredible evening” at a “spectacular private setting” with “fabulous food & drink… amazing, non-stop entertainment… once-in-a-lifetime auction items… and most important: a far-reaching cause where your support can truly impact the next generation.”

Under the banner Who Cares About The Next Generation, the event will raise awareness and funds for UCLA Health Autism Treatment Program and Teen Cancer America. The night will also include a live auction with auctioneer Howie Mandel, who will be joined on stage by special guests including David Spade and Paul Stanley. There will also be an online silent auction prior to the night; both will feature once-in-a-lifetime items including rock & roll memorabilia, concert tickets, hotel packages, artwork and a variety of luxury items provided by UCLA Health and TCA Supporters including Four Seasons Resorts Lana’I and The St. Regis New York, The Lowell, Officine Panerai and Tumi. Who Cares About The Next Generation is part of an event series that began in 2006 to raise money for UCLA’s Autism Treatment Program and the treatment of teens and young adults battling cancer. Although The Who had largely indicated when announced that the Hits 50! tour would be their last large scale shows, the have continued to add appearances following its end: June 11 at England’s Isle of Wight Festival, three European dates in June, and the Coachella mega-concert with Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Roger Waters in October in Indio, CA.
